The Very Small Business Center


The Very Small Business Center serves small businesses and those interested in starting small businesses by offering a variety of entrepreneurial support services. The VSBC provides computers, high-speed Internet, fax and copying. Interns, staff and consultants are available to assist those in business strategy, location, graphic design, editing, website support, and referrals to capital sources, whether for business expansion or start-up funds.

In supporting the variety of business found in Madison county, the VSBC offers classes ranging from marketing and Internet optimization to market potential for medicinal plants. Please see the list of courses and opportunities below.

March 29 6-9 p.m. Get Discovered - Improve Your Google Rankings - Learn how to increase your website's presence on the web to get free traffic and to sell more of your products/services. If available, please bring your laptop so that we can fix your website during the class.

April 9 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Meghan Bunnell of the Asheville SBTDC will host free one-on-one appointments for small business owners or those thinking about starting a business. Appointments are required. Contact Jennifer Flynn 828-649-3444 or marshallncstep@gmail.com to reserve your time.
