Marshall Strategic Plan

The Mayor and Board have expressed an interest in developing a strategic planning process that would clarify the Board's vision for the community and provide a clearer and more focused course of direction to those serving the town. In the coming months, the Board will begin to refine the strategic planning process and provide a clearer set of near term goals, while at the same time formulating a vision that will eventually guide the growth of the town and create a safe and welcoming place for residents and visitors.

An effective strategic plan has the potential to strengthen the commitment and shared understanding of the Board's vision and goals for the community. Under the framework of such a planning instrument, the Town's elected officials, employees, appointed boards and commissions-as well as the community at large-can all look to the plan as a transparent and uncomplicated roadmap for the future. Strategic plans can create one centralized and coordinated message for both the staff and citizens.
