Pictures from the French Broad Friday Celebrations

French Broad Fridays will begin for the 2011 season on June 10 and continue through November on the second Friday of each month. Join the fun, shop in the stores open until 9, dance to dj's or live music and enjoy the atmosphere of a small mountain town and say "Hi" to the folks you pass.

  • June 10: Mermaids in Marshall, showcasing Flow Gallery. Make way for the Mermaid Parade at 6:30PM!
  • July 8: Bike-A-Licious, celebrating Pace Cycles.  This event will be in conjunction with "I Like Bike" month- so stay tuned for more bike related events in July!
  • August 12: Dog Daze, showcasing Friends of Madison County Animals and the Madison County Animal Shelter.  Owners will be invited to join their dogs downtown for a Dog Show and Parade!
  • September 9: Wade in the Water, where we will honor our renowned resource, the French Broad River! This will be a weekend long event including the Downtown Marshall Association's First Annual Between a Rock and a Wet Place festival on Saturday, featuring a boat (that's right, boat) parade!
